Spinach Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
The average spinach export price stood at $661 per ton in 2022, growing by 10% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average export price increased by 78%. The export price peaked at $1,289 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,331 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($222 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Spinach Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
The average spinach import price stood at $500 per ton in 2022, falling by -4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price faced a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 3.1%. The import price peaked at $3,473 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Spain.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Italy amounted to -22.6% per year.
Spinach Exports in Turkey
