Green Bean Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average green bean export price amounted to $1,050 per ton, surging by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a abrupt decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average export price increased by 16%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,998 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($4,425 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lao People's Democratic Republic ($277 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+27.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average green bean import price stood at $813 per ton in 2022, reducing by -22.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 148% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,464 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($13,841 per ton), while the price for China totaled $327 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Australia (+10.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Green Bean Exports in Thailand

For the fourth consecutive year, Thailand recorded growth in overseas shipments of green beans, which increased by 97% to 649 tons in 2022. In general, exports posted significant growth. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, green bean exports surged to $682K in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a significant expansion. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Green Bean Imports in Thailand

In 2022, the amount of green beans imported into Thailand was estimated at 32 tons, picking up by 14% against 2021 figures. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
