In July 2023, the average import price for soya beans; other than seed, whether or not brokens amounted to $594 per ton, falling by -5.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a perceptible shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 2.9% against the previous month. From November 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Niger (-0.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average export price for soya beans; other than seed, whether or not brokens stood at $629 per ton in July 2023, growing by 1.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 41% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $913 per ton. From February 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($795 per ton), while the average price for exports to Nepal ($611 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
