Clementines Price in Switzerland (CIF) - 2023

The average clementines import price stood at $2,300 per ton in August 2023, rising by 6.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 39% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,881 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($3,170 per ton), while the price for Peru ($1,896 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average clementines export price amounted to $2,023 per ton, with an increase of 18% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a resilient expansion from 2017 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +9.5% over the last five-year period.
