In 2016, approx. X tonnes of typewriters were imported worldwide; import ,therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year figure. In general, typewriters imports continue to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016, when import increased by X% y-o-y. Typewriters Imports By Country

Indonesia (X tonnes) was the key importer of typewriters in the world, reaching X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2016. China (X tonnes) occupied a X% share (based on tonnes) of global typewriters imports, which put it in second place, following United Arab Emirates (X%), and the UK (X%). The following importers - Japan (X tonnes), Sierra Leone (X tonnes), Venezuela (X tonnes), and Malaysia (X tonnes) occupied approx. X% of total imports, each.

Indonesia (X%), Malaysia (X%), and China (X%) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while Sierra Leone, and United Arab Emirates saw its share reduced by -X%, and -X% from 2007 to 2016, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Malaysia ($X), China ($X) and the UK ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2016, together comprising X% of global imports. These countries were followed by Indonesia, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Sierra Leone and Venezuela, which together accounted for a further X%.

Sierra Leone (+X% per year) recorded the highest growth rate of typewriters imports, in terms of the main importing countries, over the last X year period, while the other global leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.

Typewriters Import Prices By Country

In 2016, the average import price for typewriters amounted to $X per tonne, coming down by -X% against the previous year. Overall, typewriters import price continues to indicate a deep deduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008, when import increased by X% year-to-year. In that year, average typewriters import price attained its maximum level of $X per kg. From 2009 to 2016, growth of average typewriters import price stood at a somewhat lower level.
