Imports into the Czech Republic

For the third consecutive year, the Czech Republic recorded decline in overseas purchases of ferro-manganese, which decreased by X% to X tons in 2023. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, ferro-manganese imports dropped notably to $X in 2023. In general, imports saw a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by X%. Imports peaked at $X in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Slovakia (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main suppliers of ferro-manganese imports to the Czech Republic, together accounting for X% of total imports. Italy, France, Sweden and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
