The average import price for non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified stood at $1,195 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -3.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a mild decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average import price increased by 19%. The import price peaked at $1,437 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($1,805 per ton), while the price for Syrian Arab Republic ($409 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Yemen (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified amounted to $9,156 per ton, with an increase of 73% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 475%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Jordan ($7,600 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($1,812 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Niger (+45.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the third consecutive year, Bahrain recorded decline in purchases abroad of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified, which decreased by -5.4% to 7.5K tons in 2022. Overall, imports showed a abrupt descent.

In value terms, non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified imports dropped to $9M in 2022. In general, imports showed a deep setback. The smallest decline of -3.9% was in 2021.
