The average fruit, edible; durians, fresh import price stood at $1,006 per ton in September 2022, rising by 8.1% against the previous month. Over the period from September 2021 to September 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2022 an increase of 33% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $1,036 per ton in June 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to September 2022.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($1,062 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($761 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
