In October 2023, the average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $762 per ton, falling by -20.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 17% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,372 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Turkey ($1,309 per ton), while the price for Kosovo ($410 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In October 2023, the average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $2,262 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a slight expansion from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds increased by +16.6% against June 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 25% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,257 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Norway.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Denmark amounted to +6.0% per month.

After two years of decline, purchases abroad of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds increased by 5.7% to 43K tons in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a slight shrinkage.
In value terms, imports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds rose slightly to $47M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 3.9%.
