In June 2023, the average mandarins import price amounted to $1,246 per ton, declining by -22.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 an increase of 13% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $2,083 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($2,223 per ton), while the price for Peru ($999 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Morocco (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
