Grapefruit Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022
The average grapefruit export price stood at $536 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -2.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a slight curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 13% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $672 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($879 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iraq ($336 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Grapefruit Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
The average grapefruit import price stood at $566 per ton in 2022, surging by 44% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 44% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($733 per ton), while the price for Cyprus ($389 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Grapefruit Exports in Turkey
