Cottonseed Price in Azerbaijan (CIF) - 2022
The average cottonseed import price stood at $2,725 per ton in 2022, declining by -6.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 79%. The import price peaked at $3,267 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Turkey.

Cottonseed Price in Azerbaijan (FOB) - 2022
The average cottonseed export price stood at $176 per ton in 2022, growing by 3.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a slight descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average export price increased by 87%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $270 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Kazakhstan ($200 per ton) and Iran ($184 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tajikistan ($164 per ton) and Turkey ($176 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+21.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Cottonseed Imports in Azerbaijan
In 2022, imports of cottonseed into Azerbaijan surged to 3K tons, with an increase of 31% compared with the year before.
