Clementines Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average clementines import price amounted to $1,579 per ton, dropping by -11% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated noticeable growth from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, clementines import price decreased by -11.0% against June 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 42% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,775 per ton in June 2023, and then declined in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was South Africa ($1,618 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,206 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+6.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $1,840 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($2,254 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($886 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, clementines imports into the Netherlands dropped dramatically to 67K tons, declining by -19.8% against the previous year's figure.
