Butter Price in the Philippines (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average butter import price amounted to $6,690 per ton, rising by 36% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.8%. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Australia ($6,690 per ton) and Thailand ($6,690 per ton), while the price for China ($6,690 per ton) and France ($6,690 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+10.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Butter Price in the Philippines (FOB) - 2022

The average butter export price stood at $7,019 per ton in 2022, picking up by 32% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 82%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to the United States ($7,019 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($7,019 per ton), while the average price for exports to Australia ($7,000 per ton) and Vietnam ($7,015 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+31.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Butter Imports in the Philippines

In 2022, approx. 7.1K tons of butter were imported into the Philippines; rising by 18% against the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
