In general, exports recorded a mild reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, global exports reached the peak figure at X tonnes in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, styrene-acrylonitrile exports shrank significantly to $X in 2020. Overall, exports saw a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, exports reached the peak of $X. from 2019 to 2020, the growth of global exports failed to regain the momentum.

In 2020, South Korea (X tonnes) was the main exporter of styrene-acrylonitrile (san) and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (abs) copolymers (in primary forms), committing X% of total exports.
