As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, bleached sulphate pulp exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 20%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Indonesia prevails in exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was near 84% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by New Zealand (X tons), constituting a 5.3% share of total exports. The following exporters - Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) and Japan (X tons) - each resulted at a 4.8% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to bleached sulphate pulp exports from Indonesia stood at +3.3%. At the same time, Taiwan (Chinese) (+21.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Taiwan (Chinese) emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +21.9% from 2012-2021. By contrast, New Zealand (-3.3%) and Japan (-3.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Total imports indicated a measured increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 15%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2020, and then shrank in the following year.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to bleached sulphate pulp imports into China stood at +5.8%. At the same time, Bangladesh (+12.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Bangladesh emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Asia-Pacific, with a CAGR of +12.2% from 2012-2021. India, Indonesia and Taiwan (Chinese) experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Japan (-1.5%) and South Korea (-1.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
