Exports from Australia

In 2021, overseas shipments of bleached sulphate pulp decreased by -10.5% to X tons, falling for the fourth year in a row after three years of growth. In general, exports faced a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 462% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, bleached sulphate pulp exports declined significantly to $X in 2021. Overall, exports saw a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 485% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

New Zealand (X tons), Singapore (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) were the main destinations of bleached sulphate pulp exports from Australia, together comprising 66% of total exports.
