T-Shirt Price in Lithuania (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average t-shirt export price amounted to $29.9 per unit, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the period from September 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 an increase of 30% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $30.2 per unit in August 2023, and then contracted in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Norway ($54.6 per unit), while the average price for exports to Poland ($12.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+8.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

T-Shirt Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2023

In September 2023, the average t-shirt import price amounted to $16.5 per unit, picking up by 3% against the previous month. Over the period from September 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 38% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $17.6 per unit. From February 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($53.5 per unit), while the price for Latvia ($4.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

T-Shirt Exports in Lithuania

In 2022, exports of t-shirts from Lithuania contracted to 14M units, reducing by -10.1% on the year before. Overall, exports, however, recorded a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 127% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 15M units, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, t-shirt exports shrank modestly to $68M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 23%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $69M, and then declined modestly in the following year.

T-Shirt Imports in Lithuania

In 2022, overseas purchases of t-shirts were finally on the rise to reach 4.5M units after two years of decline. Overall, imports, however, faced a dramatic curtailment. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 11M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, t-shirt imports shrank to $28M in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a abrupt decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 3.4%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $46M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
