Yautia (Cocoyam) Production in El Salvador - 2022

In 2022, the amount of yautia produced in El Salvador totaled 48K tons, approximately reflecting 2021 figures. In general, production recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the production volume increased by 0.2%. Over the period under review, (cocoyam) production attained the peak volume at 48K tons in 2018; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022. The average yield of yautia in El Salvador contracted slightly to 10 tons per ha in 2022, standing approx. at 2021. Overall, the yield recorded a relatively flat trend pattern.
