The average import price for vegetables; seed potatoes, fresh or chilleds stood at $442 per ton in 2022, rising by 6.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +45.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 25% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, exports of vegetables; seed potatoes, fresh or chilleds soared to $21M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a prominent expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +18.2% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +65.0% against 2019 indices.
