In 2021, the average export price for tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, of cast iron amounted to $938 per ton, rising by 22% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $981 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Oman ($1,744 per ton), while the average price for exports to Jordan ($586 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Oman (+6.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, of cast iron stood at $902 per ton in 2021, jumping by 17% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average import price increased by 39% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,427 per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Oman ($1,341 per ton), while the price for China ($524 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Jordan (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

After three years of growth, shipments abroad of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, of cast iron decreased by -34.1% to 37K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 19%.
In value terms, exports of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, of cast iron declined to $48M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a strong expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +17.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +62.3% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 41%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $53M, and then dropped in the following year.

As a result, imports reached the peak of 105K tons, and then shrank in the following year.
