The average export price for nuts, edible; brazil nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds stood at $8,079 per ton in 2022, picking up by 15% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw slight growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 40%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $11,448 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Spain ($9,467 per ton) and Canada ($9,319 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($7,116 per ton) and Israel ($7,236 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+20.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price peaked at $8,608 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Peru ($3,733 per ton), while the price for Bolivia stood at $3,695 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bolivia (-8.1%).
