In 2022, the average import price for nuts, edible; almonds, fresh or dried, shelleds amounted to $6,412 per ton, growing by 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a notable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for nuts, edible; almonds, fresh or dried, shelleds decreased by -10.6% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 23% against the previous year. Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Honduras ($11,917 per ton) and Panama ($11,581 per ton), while the average price for exports to El Salvador ($8,100 per ton) and Nicaragua ($9,487 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Guatemala (+24.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
