In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $1,991 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($2,175 per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($1,326 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the import price recorded a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 25% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,781 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($3,515 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,857 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
