In 2022, the average non-tanker trailer and semi-trailers import price amounted to $12,406 per unit, picking up by 31% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, non-tanker trailer and semi-trailers import price increased by +46.0% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 33%. Over the period under review, export price indicated a noticeable increase from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.3% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, non-tanker trailer and semi-trailers export price increased by +59.1% against September 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 51% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $6,304 per unit; afterwards, it flattened through to November 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Croatia ($12,043 per unit), while the average price for exports to Romania ($1,015 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
