The average import price for fluorspar; containing by weight 97% or less of calcium fluorides stood at $524 per ton in March 2022, which is down by -3.8% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2021 an increase of 28% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $613 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to March 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($555 per ton), while the price for Pakistan ($285 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
