The average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $3,037 per ton in October 2023, rising by 44% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated noticeable growth from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.7% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds increased by +79.2% against July 2023 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($3,743 per ton), while the price for Tunisia stood at $1,565 per ton.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+14.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $6,624 per ton in October 2023, growing by 113% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a buoyant increase. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($7,358 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($5,835 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, overseas purchases of dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds decreased by -4.3% to 20K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, recorded significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 408% against the previous year.
In value terms, imports of dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds reduced to $30M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.2% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +30.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 37% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $34M, and then declined in the following year.

Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 96% against the previous year.
In value terms, exports of dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds shrank significantly to $13M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a remarkable increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +10.7% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 41%.
