Mexico was the key exporter of avocados in the world, with the volume of exports finishing at X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2020. It was distantly followed by Peru (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes) and Spain (X tonnes), together making up a X% share of total exports. Chile (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), Kenya (X tonnes), South Africa (X tonnes), Colombia (X tonnes) and the Dominican Republic (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2007 to 2020, average annual rates of growth with regard to avocado exports from Mexico stood at +X%. At the same time, Colombia (+X%), the U.S. (+X%), Peru (+X%), the Netherlands (+X%), Kenya (+X%), Spain (+X%), the Dominican Republic (+X%) and South Africa (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Colombia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2020. By contrast, Chile (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
