The average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $733 per ton in 2022, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 3.5%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $798 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($916 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($519 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average import price increased by 34%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,984 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Honduras ($3,004 per ton), while the price for Nicaragua ($407 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Guatemala (+20.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
