In December 2023, the average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $453 per ton, shrinking by -7.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 25% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $570 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to December 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($457 per ton), while the price for Thailand amounted to $176 per ton.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+0.5%).

The average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $668 per ton in December 2023, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 20% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $757 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($675 per ton), while the average price for exports to Brunei Darussalam amounted to $395 per ton.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+0.9%).
