The average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $1,116 per ton in December 2022, growing by 10% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2022 an increase of 17% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,237 per ton in April 2022; however, from May 2022 to December 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($1,401 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($743 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Oman (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $8,237 per ton in 2022, rising by 191% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 240%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($13,578 per ton), while the price for Morocco ($906 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Syrian Arab Republic (+8.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the third year in a row, Jordan recorded decline in shipments abroad of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds, which decreased by -27.5% to 4.3K tons in 2022. In general, exports showed a dramatic shrinkage.
In value terms, exports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds dropped sharply to $4.3M in 2022. Overall, exports recorded a abrupt setback. The smallest decline of -11.6% was in 2020.

Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 3,372% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 232 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds shrank rapidly to $336K in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 1,571%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $518K.
