Personal Anti-Perspirants Price in Hungary (CIF) - 2023

In June 2023, the average personal anti-perspirants import price amounted to $12,320 per ton, declining by -6.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 15% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $13,190 per ton in May 2023, and then contracted in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($40,210 per ton), while the price for China ($1,347 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Personal Anti-Perspirants Price in Hungary (FOB) - 2023

The average personal anti-perspirants export price stood at $9,609 per ton in June 2023, which is down by -5.4% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 36% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $10,155 per ton in May 2023, and then reduced in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($18,695 per ton), while the average price for exports to North Macedonia ($6,149 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Personal Anti-Perspirants Imports in Hungary

For the third consecutive year, Hungary recorded decline in overseas purchases of personal deodorants and anti-perspirants, which decreased by -0.4% to 5.4K tons in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a pronounced setback.

In value terms, personal anti-perspirants imports expanded slightly to $51M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 8.3%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
