In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest room deodorants supplier worldwide, comprising 20% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Mexico ($X), with a 9.1% share of global exports. It was followed by the United States, with an 8.8% share.

At the same time, Chile (+16.4%), the Netherlands (+8.9%), Hong Kong SAR (+4.3%), Canada (+4.2%), Germany (+4.0%), Malaysia (+3.9%), the UK (+2.0%) and Italy (+1.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Chile emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +16.4% from 2012-2021. France experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Japan (-1.6%), Belgium (-2.2%) and Taiwan (Chinese) (-2.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of the United States, the Netherlands and Chile increased by +3.1, +1.6 and +1.6 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United States ($X), the UK ($X) and Japan ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 26% share of global imports. Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Hong Kong SAR, France, Belgium, Malaysia, Italy, Taiwan (Chinese) and Chile lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 30%.
In terms of the main importing countries, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +11.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
