Personal Anti-Perspirants Price in Norway (CIF) - 2023

In June 2023, the average personal anti-perspirants import price amounted to $20,625 per ton, picking up by 3.7% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 30% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $22,925 per ton. From December 2022 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($31,848 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($8,943 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Personal Anti-Perspirants Price in Norway (FOB) - 2022

The average personal anti-perspirants export price stood at $35,308 per ton in 2022, surging by 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated slight growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 43% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($51,376 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($19,186 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Personal Anti-Perspirants Imports in Norway

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in purchases abroad of personal deodorants and anti-perspirants, when their volume decreased by -2.4% to 1.1K tons. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 15% against the previous year.

In value terms, personal anti-perspirants imports reduced to $22M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 25% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $23M, and then declined slightly in the following year.
