Lemon and Lime Price in Hong Kong SAR (CIF) - 2023
The average lemon and lime import price stood at $1,068 per ton in September 2023, increasing by 5.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 18% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,556 per ton. From February 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($3,851 per ton), while the price for Argentina ($535 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+10.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Lemon and Lime Price in Hong Kong SAR (FOB) - 2023
In September 2023, the average lemon and lime export price amounted to $1,128 per ton, increasing by 10% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 39% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $2,060 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Macao SAR ($1,365 per ton), while the average price for exports to China totaled $865 per ton.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Macao SAR (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Lemon and Lime Imports in Hong Kong SAR
