Insulating Board Price in Slovakia (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average insulating board import price amounted to $318 per cubic meter, rising by 11% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 29% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $390 per cubic meter. From December 2022 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Austria ($535 per cubic meter), while the price for Romania ($244 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Board Price in Slovakia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average insulating board export price amounted to $317 per cubic meter, falling by -19.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 19%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $457 per cubic meter in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($690 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Poland ($289 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Switzerland (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Board Imports in Slovakia
In 2022, the amount of insulating board imported into Slovakia shrank sharply to 32K cubic meters, falling by -23.5% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 47K cubic meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
