Honey Price in New Zealand (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average honey export price amounted to $27,092 per ton, jumping by 19% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($103K per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($12,017 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR (+14.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average honey import price amounted to $9,166 per ton, declining by -9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a remarkable increase.
