Dairy Produce Price in Poland (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average dairy produce export price amounted to $2,144 per ton, rising by 25% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 29% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $2,544 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($4,570 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($789 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+8.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dairy Produce Price in Poland (CIF) - 2022

The average dairy produce import price stood at $2,832 per ton in 2022, jumping by 17% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, dairy produce import price increased by +75.9% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 20%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($6,797 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($968 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (+13.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dairy Produce Exports in Poland

In 2022, approx. 1.5M tons of dairy produce were exported from Poland; approximately reflecting 2021 figures. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 3.3%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, dairy produce exports skyrocketed to $3.2B in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.4% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +49.6% against 2019 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
