Cotton Lint Price in Belarus (CIF) - 2022
The average cotton lint import price stood at $2,973 per ton in March 2022, stabilizing at the previous month. In general, import price indicated perceptible growth from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.8% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, cotton lint import price increased by +58.4% against April 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 11% m-o-m. The import price peaked in March 2022.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the countries with the highest prices were Uzbekistan ($3,840 per ton) and Russia ($3,176 per ton), while the price for Tajikistan ($2,661 per ton) and Latvia ($2,975 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
