Blueberry and Cranberry Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average blueberry and cranberry import price amounted to $3,892 per ton, falling by -24.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a noticeable shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 73% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $7,246 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Latvia ($6,563 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($765 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average blueberry and cranberry export price amounted to $6,517 per ton, shrinking by -1.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 78%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $10,707 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($9,566 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($2,447 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Latvia (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Blueberry and Cranberry Imports in Lithuania

In 2022, blueberry and cranberry imports into Lithuania soared to 6K tons, picking up by 108% against 2021. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed significant growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, blueberry and cranberry imports skyrocketed to $23M in 2022. In general, imports posted significant growth.
