Exports of Prepared Frozen Vegetables in Europe Undergo a Buoyant Expansion

Overall, the prepared frozen vegetables export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the export price increased by 12% year-to-year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was France ($2,457 per ton), while Portugal ($1,412 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2018, the prepared frozen vegetables import price in the European Union amounted to $1,806 per ton, growing by 4.9% against the previous year. Overall, the prepared frozen vegetables import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the import price increased by 11% y-o-y.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($2,540 per ton), while Spain ($1,458 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
