Prepared Frozen Vegetables Market Size in Denmark

Exports by Country

Finland (X tonnes), Faroe Islands (X tonnes) and Greenland (X tonnes) were the main destinations of prepared frozen vegetables exports from Denmark, together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Iceland, Sweden, Norway and the UK, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Iceland, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Finland ($X), Faroe Islands ($X) and Greenland ($X) were the largest markets for prepared frozen vegetables exported from Denmark worldwide, together comprising X% of total exports. Iceland, Sweden, the UK and Norway lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average prepared frozen vegetables export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, with a decrease of -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a noticeable increase from 2007 to 2020: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, prepared frozen vegetables export price decreased by -X% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012 an increase of X% year-to-year. The export price peaked at $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Finland ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Denmark

In 2020, approx. X tonnes of frozen vegetables and mixtures of vegetables (prepared or preserved) were imported into Denmark; rising by X% compared with the year before. In general, imports posted a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tonnes in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, prepared frozen vegetables imports expanded notably to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports recorded strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 with an increase of X% y-o-y.
