The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average export price increased by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +38.8% from 2012-2021. France and Italy experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the UK (-1.7%), Germany (-2.7%) and Russia (-13.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The United States (+7.6 p.p.), Kenya (+2.4 p.p.), India (+2.3 p.p.), Malaysia (+2 p.p.), Greece (+1.8 p.p.) and Belarus (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while the UK, Germany and Russia saw its share reduced by -1.5%, -1.6% and -9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United States ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported bedspreads (excluding eiderdowns) worldwide, comprising 25% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was held by India ($X), with an 8.4% share of global imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 4.9% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the United States stood at +6.6%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: India (+3.6% per year) and Germany (-0.9% per year).
