The average paper and paperboard export price stood at $X per tonne in 2021, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($X per tonne), while Indonesia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by X%. Global imports peaked at X tonnes in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
