China (X tonnes) was the main destination for pyrites exports from Turkey, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, pyrites exports to China exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Spain (X tonnes), tenfold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by India (X tonnes), with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to China was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Spain (+X% per year) and India (+X% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for pyrites exports from Turkey, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Spain ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by India, with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to China was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Spain (+X% per year) and India (+X% per year).

The average pyrites export price stood at $X per tonne in 2021, increasing by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per tonne in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to India ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Turkey
For the fifth year in a row, Turkey recorded growth in overseas purchases of pyrites, which increased by X% to X tonnes in 2021. Overall, imports saw significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of X%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, pyrites imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports recorded a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Italy (X tonnes) constituted the largest pyrites supplier to Turkey, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, pyrites imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tonnes), twofold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Denmark (X tonnes), with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Italy stood at +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+X% per year) and Denmark (+X% per year).

In 2021, the average pyrites import price amounted to $X per tonne, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per tonne), while the price for China ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+X%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
