Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Germany (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Portugal (X tons) were the main destinations of turkey meat exports from Italy, with a combined 44% share of total exports. France, Benin, Greece, the UK, Bulgaria, Serbia, Austria, Croatia, Spain and Equatorial Guinea lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 42%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Croatia (with a CAGR of +27.7%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the key foreign market for turkey meat exports from Italy, comprising 24% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Portugal ($X), with a 12% share of total exports. It was followed by France, with a 9.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Germany amounted to -3.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Portugal (+4.6% per year) and France (+0.1% per year).

In 2022, the average turkey meat export price amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 27% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Equatorial Guinea ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average turkey meat import price amounted to $X per ton, rising by 17% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 20% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Hungary ($X per ton) and Spain ($X per ton), while the price for France ($X per ton) and Germany ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
