In value terms, passenger car exports expanded to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Germany represented the major exporter of passenger cars in the European Union, with the volume of exports amounting to X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Spain (X units) took a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Belgium (X%), the Czech Republic (X%), Slovakia (X%) and France (X%). From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to passenger car exports from Germany stood at X%. From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany was relatively modest. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belgium (X% per year) and Spain (X% per year).

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period.
