The import price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 3.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while the Netherlands ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
