In 2021, Hungary (X tons), distantly followed by Slovakia (X tons), Belarus (X tons), Poland (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) represented the main exporters of windows, french windows and their frames of wood, together creating 92% of total exports. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, wooden window import price increased by +79.6% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 52%. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
