In value terms, video game console imports shrank to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 111%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Russia prevails in imports structure, amounting to X units, which was approx. 84% of total imports in 2022. Belarus (X units) took a 6.6% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Kazakhstan (5.3%). Kyrgyzstan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to video game console imports into Russia stood at +3.7%. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+141.7%) and Belarus (+31.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +141.7% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Kazakhstan (-6.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan increased by +6 and +2.6 percentage points, respectively.
